Yes, at this rate, I might as well introduce myself since I've been absent for so long!
Oh, how life goes on. Ya know, obla-dee, obla-dah. Last time I was here I was über stressed out and trying to sort things out with my family. I suppose I can tell the story now, especially since some time has gone by, but that's not how I really want to welcome myself back here.
So I will write about something else.
How about an unorganized and disjointed stream-of-consciousness rundown of what's happened since I've been missing? Sure. That sounds nice.
L started her second year of preschool in late September. Oh, how she's grown in a year!
E is talking in sentences now and loves to play with his cars. And trains. All the time :)
Steven has been plugging away per usual over at the university. What a work ethic that man has!
And I have been continuing nursing my little business into a healthy and productive endeavor.
Other than that: laundry, dishes, vacuuming, cooking, etc. Running with the kids in the jogger at the park with my good friends. Trips to the library. Reading, reading, reading. (Obviously I need to work on the writing.) Crossfitting once a week. (Santa-Steven upgraded me to 2x a week for Christmas.. Yippee!)
The kids and food:
L loves ham, E hates ham. E loves all chicken, L hates plain chicken (she'll eat chicken nuggets or my "lemon" chicken (breaded and seasoned with lemon). L adores waffles. E is all about the protein; bring on the scrambled eggs! They both adore beans. L: cranberry juice or cranberry juice and orange juice. E: apple juice or milk.
The kids' new interest:
Mr. & Mrs. Claus ;-) got them Leapster game systems for Christmas. Yes, one big gift for them this year, with other little stuff. They LOVE them. And so do I. I can actually bring them to appointments and such and they will quietly play with them. Plus, it's not StreetFighter - they're actually learning numbers, letters, and other useful stuff.
The kids and media:
Wow Wow Wubbzy is still a god in the kids' lives, moreso for E. We also enjoy Olivia, Team Umizoomi, Super Readers, Curious George and Arthur. They've finally started outgrowing the Wonder Pets. L adores the Barbie movies, and E is still stuck on the movie Cars.
Alright. Enough on the kids.
So in addition to making a grand comeback here, I'm also playing catchup over on Flickr. Yes, I've fallen behind all over the place. I've currently updated the photostream through October of 2009. My goal is to get completely updated by the end of this next month (February 2010).
