SELF PORTRAIT TUESDAY I couldn't help myself from doing another one of these, this time of me and my man. Yep, Sarah and Steven, old-school!
Steven plays soccer on two leagues here in Tucson and plays two games a week. Last Friday night my worst fears were realized while he was playing and he took a fall.
My biggest fear was his neck. He had major surgery in 2004 to resolve bone spurs on his vertebrae next to his spinal cord that were pinching nerves and causing nerve damage. My second biggest fear was his ACL. Anyone who knows soccer knows that tearing the ACL is one of the most common biggest injuries.
His neck was fine. The ACL he previously tore and had surgery on was fine, too. It was his other knee, and most likely his ACL. He has an MRI today. *sigh* ... we'll be finding out what the damage is soon.
